棕剛玉磨料以鋁礬土為主要原料經(jīng)高溫熔煉而成。呈棕褐色，硬度高、韌性大。用其制造的磨具，適用于碳素鋼、可鍛鑄鐵、硬青銅等的磨削。此外在耐火材料、化工添加劑、精密鑄造及防滑材料等方面也有廣泛應用。
The main material of brown fused alumina is bauxite,which is electrically fused in high temperature.It is brown and features high hardness and toughness.The abrasive tools made of it are suitable for the grinding of car bon steel,malleable castiron,hard bronze,etc.In addition,they are also used as refractory materials,chemical additive,precision founding and anti-sliding materrials.
